Metal Injection
Moulding
Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) is the process used to manufacture complex components from ultra fine metal powders. The technology can be used to produce any small metal component, but it is of most value when the part is complex and difficult or expensive to machine using conventional techniques. In theory, any metal or metal alloy that can be produced in powder form can be Metal Injection
Moulded.
Typical applications include:
Medical
- Surgical Instruments
- Laparoscopic cutting tips
- Biopsy jaws
