MIM Injection Moulding

Stage 1
Granulated metal powder is fed into an injection moulding machine

Stage 2
A ‘ram’ forces the material into a ‘heated zone’ that liquefies the binder and allows themetal to flow under pressure into a mould

Stage 3
The mould and the formed metal component is cooled quickly to form a solid

Stage 4
The mould is split and the solid metal component is ejected
